In addition to
gladiolus, Manatee also grows asiatic, stargazer and white oriental lilies,
matsumoto asters, snapdragons, statice sinuata, sunflowers, delphinium and
other seasonal flowers encompassing 100 acres of production.
Harvest begins in
November and lasts through June. As soon as the flowers are cut they undergo
up-to-date post-harvest treatment and are cooled. The company has over 22,000
sq. feet of refrigeration which helps to ensure both freshness and quality to
our customers.
